Cayuga Waterfront Trail - Phase 2

Phase 2 of the Cayuga Waterfront Trail will be 1.5 mile in length and link the Cass Park Trail to the Ithaca Farmers' Market and to Ithaca's downtown residential neighborhoods. Northeast Greenways prepared a successful grant application for $488,000 in federal TEA-21 Transportation Enhancement Program funds to be matched with a $112,000 match from the City of Ithaca and $200,000 from the Cayuga Waterfront Trail Initiative. Phase 2 of the Waterfront Trail will connect the Cass Park Trail (Phase 1) to Inlet Island, Ithaca's West End, Cornell and Ithaca College Boathouses and the Farmers Market. It will include construction of a trail bridge, two trailheads, trail furnishings and amenities, wayfinding and interpretive signage and numerous other trail features.

RMLA is participating on a team led by Bergmann Associates and including Fisher Associates and R.K. Hite Associates. The City of Ithaca is the client and eventual owner of the project. NG is leading the project design effort and the public review process in the City of Ithaca. Design, approval and preparation of bid documents is currently underway.
