Lakeview 36 Bed SRO Residence
Lakeview Mental Health Services, Inc. recently broke ground on a new 36 bed Single Room Occupancy Residence that will provide a long term home and services for clients who, otherwise, would have no permanent living place in Ithaca. This facility is located in the City of Ithaca, only 3 blocks from my office. The building was designed by Plan PC Architects and should be open in the fall of 2009.

RMLA prepared the site and planting plan for the facility. It features a courtyard garden on the building's south side that is an outdoor extension of the common dining room. Plantings in the courtyard are a mix of primarily shrubs, perennials and grasses designed to have interest in all seasons and to attract birds.
